I am obsessively searching for the things that have shaped me into the person I am today. I am more than positive that my work is a selfish endeavor to uncover my not-so-mysterious childhood being brought up in the poor-white-trash South, as well as relieve the incessant flashes of memories that have plagued my vivid imagination since relocating.
I use this generalization of who I think I am as a basis for commenting on this particular lifestyle, as well as poking fun at the stereotype. I use gender-, race-, and class-specifics to bring about questions of who I and these people were/are, and whether or not they should be feared or laughed at.
